The first READ school is established in Riala, Bagh, Azad Jammu & Kashmir. With just one teacher, an outdoor classroom, 25 students and a mere Rs. 25,000, READ planted the seeds of education.
READ was established as a charity in the UK.
78,000 students attending READ schools with 4,000 teachers in employment. We also broke three Guinness World Records in one day.
We expanded our efforts, launching our School in a Bus programme in Lebanon and opening our offices in Yemen.
READ Foundation opened its offices in Canda and the USA.
READ Foundation operates in multiple countries. In Pakistan alone, we have 120,000 students, 5967 teachers, and 13,000 orphans across more than 400 schools.
